Welcome to my Heart Word Pages. This is a new blog I have started as an experiment in personal blogging. Within these pages and links you will find all of my artistic works that have survived over the years, as well as brand new ones every week or so. All of the content from my previous blog has been moved to here.
At the top, you will find three tabs. Headlines will always take you to my most recent posting. To the left, you’ll find a listing of the various categories on my blog. Each of them has something to offer you, dear reader, so please feel free to explore.
Why Heart Word Pages (HWP)? Well, Stained Shadow Pages (SSP) was a great blog, but it offered little in the way of real control over my blog. Additionally, the dark and moody feel of SSP just doesn’t work with the current attitude and way of thinking I am trying to cultivate. The world can be a gloomy, sad place but it is up to each of us as individuals to create our own life and our own universe in whatever manner feels best. To me, the poetic and metaphoric ‘heart’ is the key to living happily. Emotions, feelings, sensitivity and compassion; these things are truly the important ones to me, rather than the sterile intellectual values that some others hold so dear. Therefore, the words here in these pages will always be coming straight from my heart. Hence the title.
I hope you will find many things here that entertain you and maybe even make you think a little about your own heart words. It is truly profound, to me, what can be accomplished when one begins living in their heart full-time instead of just when things appear to be going well. Good times, bad times, bored ones and exciting, all of them can be lived and experienced from the comfort of one’s own heart and spirit. The mind will follow where the heart leads, but you’ve got to be the one to put one foot in front of the other. So, toward that end, you now know the intent and hopes I have for this site. Feel free to comment on anything you see posted here, but I ask you to please remember the spirit of this site, and that your words can have a powerful effect on those who read them.
Finally, please note that this is my personal blog and as such it will not contain posts or articles that could conflict with the interests of any other blog I may take part in.
